  Internet has not worked for months and keep getting pingponged between the provider and Unilodge, while the rent as been paid inclusive of Wifi. Emails go unanswered for weeks, while promises are always made in person and not kept. When emails are finally replied after weeks, maintenance promised does not show. Car park bond repayment has similarly been sat on for 4 weeks and counting, which different excuses and promises that are unmet each time I go to the office, while emails are ignored. Facilities are good if old, which I came here for, but management has become extremely unreliable and rude

  Good place for students including friendly staff, high safety, near UQ, good outdoor scenery as well as decorations...
  However, booking experience for new students is not good, with long waiting time (usually not exact as written in contracts but more than a week later). Room furniture is old and some are degraded. Maintenance service is also bad and slow. Students have to buy their own router in order to have wifi connection as well.
  Lastly, although all furniture is old, they do promise that it will be changed or updated in the future. (My room is managed by UQ res)

  For the price you are paying, I suggest you can find other student accommodations which have way better amenities. Compared to other student accommodations, they have cinemas, air-conditioned common areas, gyms and even weekly events held by students to mingle and make friends. To put it literally, you are just paying for the convenience. The only good points are that you have a spacious room with a dryer, a private toilet and a good view only
  if you stay level 3 and up. Note that the internet is cabled which means you you either have to get a router or connect it straight to your laptop. After staying for 1 semester, I decided to move out as I realised I am not getting my money’s worth. Also, that an EXTRA cleaning fee of $231 will be charged EVEN AFTER YOU MOVE OUT (which i did not know initially and feel that it is ridiculous considering the condition of my room was not even ‘spotless’ despite them claiming that it was professionally cleaned). 1 star for the convenience and spacious room and 1 star for the rather responsive and friendly manager. 1 star is lost for the ridiculous price of $360 per week, another star lost for the obvious lack of common areas and amenities and lastly the extra fees. If you have money to spare or is not of concern, and you really want a place convenient and near school (5mins walk) then it will be an ideal place for you.

  Edit to the response:
  - there should always be a back up receptionist if one has to go for training
  - the elevator should NOT take over 4 weeks to be fixed
  
  very bad managemnt. absolutely disgraceful! right now the elevator has been down for more than a week. Just before the garbage has not been placed in the bins and was stacked up outside for over a week before staff decided to clean it up. As a student accomdation it is the responsibility of Unilodge to keep the place tidy and clean to a respectable standard. The receptionist remains unavaliable days in a week when she is supposed to be there monday - friday and she seems to be the only staff avaliable. cleaners are not regularly present and the place is not regularly cleaned. unilodge seems to be taken care by its residents who are simply students and randomly there will be a cleaner here and there once a month or sometimes even less its atrocious! i've lived here for 2 months and ive yet to see anyone sweep the floor i live on even once and its currently dirty right now. absolutely disgraceful

  Staff not so friendly, for example, he just entered my apartment without notice (inspection for the potential person to the next room from me) and by the time I noticed, he was leaving at the door and said "it's just for inspection" -- if that's the case, then the least you could do is let me know beforehand!
  Also the walls and ceiling seem to be thin and can hear noise from other people, those are some of the reasons I decided to leave
